March 16-17 Workshops
Commitment - 10 AM Saturday March 16
In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be working on building and proofing commitment! We’ll work through a few drills to teach commitment and then test that commitment in sequences. We’ll only be working on jumps and tunnels, but dogs should be able to sequence. Limited to 4 dogs.
Focus & Engagement - 12 PM Saturday March 16
In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be working on focus & engagement for agility! You’ll learn how to train your dog to focus on you and to choose you over distractions. Our goal is to create a dog that always opts in to training instead of you having to beg them to work for you! Limited to 4 dogs.
Collection Skills - 2 PM Saturday March 16
In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be working on building and proofing collection. Tight turns are a very challenging skill for many fast dogs, but they’re super important to get the fastest times! We’ll work on teaching our dogs how to turn tight and discuss how to progress and maintain tight turns. Limited to 4 dogs.
Rear Crosses - 10 AM Sunday March 17
In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be working on perfecting those rear crosses! This workshop will be focused on handlers improving their execution of the rear cross so their dog will be more likely to stay on course and keep up bars. This workshop is open to dogs sequencing 8-10 obstacles and will only include jumps and tunnels. Limited to 4 dogs.
Toy Skills - 12 PM Sunday March 17
In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be working on advacing all our toy skills! Toys are a wonderful way to reward your dog in agility, but they’re not an effective reward without some important skills on them. We’ll work on skills like dropping the toy, retrieving the toy, only grabbing the toy when given permission, and sending to a static toy on the ground. Limited to 4 dogs.
Blind Crosses - 2 PM Sunday March 17
In this 2 hour workshop we’ll be working on perfecting those blind crosses! This workshop will be focused on handlers improving their execution of the blind cross so their dog will be more likely to stay on course and keep up bars.
